Colosseum tickets: standard entry, underground or Forum only?

Compare official products, published adult prices, access areas and validity, then choose the actual reservation rather than a generic “Colosseum tour” label.

Choose the space you want to enter before the seller

For a first visit to the ordinary Colosseum levels plus Forum and Palatine, start with the standard €18 adult product. Choose Full Experience Underground and Arena if those extra areas are the reason for the visit: the official page lists €24 entry or €32 with its educational tour. Forum Pass SUPER does not include the Colosseum.[10][25][26]

Those are published official product prices retrieved 24 October 2026, not evidence of available slots. A reseller’s “Colosseum tour” can include a guide, a different access product and its own terms. Compare the named admission and spaces before comparing the totals.

Standard entry: enough for the ordinary Colosseum visit

The standard product page publishes €18 full entry and a 75-minute Colosseum permanence period. It names the first and second levels, panoramic terraces and museum, alongside Forum and Palatine entry.[25]

Its Forum–Palatine access is one entry within 24 hours before or after the booked Colosseum time, not unlimited re-entry and not a demand to complete everything in 75 minutes. The 75-minute period concerns the Colosseum. Choose an ordinary product if those spaces answer your interest instead of paying for an extra area you do not particularly want.

Underground and arena: distinguish entry from the educational tour

The dedicated Full Experience page publishes €24 full entry and €32 with the educational tour, and specifies a 90-minute Colosseum permanence period. It is valid for two consecutive days, with one Colosseum entry at the booked time and one Forum–Palatine/SUPER entry within the product conditions.[26]

The page says online sale starts 30 days before the visit. Underground access remains subject to availability in the named product; a generic Full Experience label on another offer is not enough. The same page retains a “last access 4.40 pm” line that does not fit the main park’s earlier dated winter closing period. Use the actual dated slot and current opening notice, not that standalone line.

Forum only or attic: different objectives

The official product directory explicitly says Forum Pass SUPER has no Colosseum access. It is an option for the archaeological areas and listed interiors, not a cheaper way to enter the amphitheatre. The Attic product instead names the panoramic lift and attic and has its own conditions.[10]

Do not combine the products from their names alone. Check the current open SUPER interiors: the directory includes day-specific closures and restoration notices, so a category on the ticket is not a promise every room is open.

Names, reductions and free days are separate checks

The main park guidance requires a Colosseum reservation and named tickets with identification. The standard and underground pages list a €2 reduced category for eligible EU citizens aged 18 up to the day of the 25th birthday; free categories have their own conditions.[10][25][26]

Do not turn a free-entry entitlement into an assumption that a particular special area or time can be reserved without following its procedure. The official first-Sunday FAQ describes queue-based free-ticket collection and particular visit options. Verify your category and product before choosing that date solely to save admission.

Official versus reseller: compare the actual service

Follow the park’s official Buy ticket link to its ticketing system for the base product. For another seller, identify the operator, language and meeting point, duration, named admission, whether the guide accompanies the full visit, cancellation terms and the final total. A meeting outside the monument is not proof of underground access.

We have not checked live inventory or reseller permission, and this page is not a ticket office. Keep the booking confirmation and visitor names with the exact access rules.

Make this one block of the Rome trip

Protect time for security and the Forum/Palatine visit instead of booking another timed attraction immediately after the Colosseum slot. Use the Rome plan to separate ancient Rome from the central walk and Vatican-side day.
